Custom Auto Body Paint Step 8: Color Sand and Buff

The last and final stage of the project involves colour sanding or wet sanding the clear coat after it has cured. This is in order to remove any imperfections that may be present in the vehicle’s clear coating. This is a delicate process, much more delicate than the spray painting stage in fact, since incorrect sanding will leave the clear coat scratched and damage, making it look old and unsightly, so be sure that your chosen shop is skilled enough for this task. When everything is nice and smooth, the vehicle is now ready for buffing in order to give it a nice, smooth, and polished finish.
